Biennale Gherdëina 10 - Summer Solstice Trekking

(Future) Paradise Gardens marks the tenth edition of the international contemporary art biennial in Val Gardena, in the heart of the Dolomites.

Curated by Samuel Leuenberger, Biennale Gherdëina 10 explores how gardens can become spaces of care, coexistence, and imagination — rooted in justice, equality, and collective futures.

An intense 25 km hike from Ortisei, through Resciesa and Furcela de Mesdì, to Juac, to celebrate the summer solstice. Accompanied by the paleontologist Herwig Prinoth and the botanist Ujep Runggaldier, we will explore the flora and fauna of the valley and its peaks. In Juac, we will explore the works of Bosco Sodi, Constantin Thun, Bas Smets + Eliane Le Roux, and Judith Neunhäuserer. (It is possible to hike a part of itinerary)
